While we were walking though the Portland, Oregon IKEA store self-service furniture section recently, we overheard a couple of small boys say, “Look at the big fan.” They pointed up at the ceiling. Naturally, we looked up as well.

IKEA Big Ass Fan
The iPhone picture doesn’t quite do it justice. This fan is huge.
And it really is called “Big Ass Fan.” It’s nice when product manufacturers are willing to have a sense of humor. And it is refreshing when giant corporations pass that sense of humor on.
I went to visit the web site for one of my favorite bands (Judas Priest) tonight, and found that my favorite browser, Google’s Chrome, was a bit confused. It helpfully offered to translate the web site.

Chrome Offers To Translate
The only problem with the offer to help is that the web site isn’t actually in German.

I’d been meaning to upload this picture for some time. It was taken near St. Cloud, MN during our trip there during the summer of 2009.

"TNT" Store
We had pulled off the freeway to get some coffee and saw this, a burned out “TNT” store. We started laughing like crazy as I’m sure many others did over the months that the building was under repair.
The store’s actual name was “Treasures N Things”.

Adobe Photoshop can be used to bring a lot of humor to images. I saw this last night while browsing apps in the iPhone AppStore.

Photoshop "Lice"
Yep, mobile Photoshop has lice.
Now, I’m sure that’s not what was intended (it is the license agreement after all). It is humorous nonetheless.

A little while after I posted a screen shot of Google’s bar code logo, I stumbled upon this version of Google.

Google's Disappearing Page
Google was apparently conducting some experiments with a minimal and “fading” home page today. See this for more info and a video of the effect.

I had to do a double-take and laugh when I saw today’s Google logo.

My wife snapped this picture recently of an egg she had just cracked into the pan.

Egg Giving the World the Finger
If you aren’t from a western culture, you might not understand what this symbolizes and why it’s humorous. It’s humorous because the egg is telling my wife that it is unhappy about just being cracked onto a several hundred degree grill for the purpose of becoming her breakfast. This Wikipedia article might help clarify the meaning of the gestrure that this egg resembles.
