The United States Postal Service (USPS) cares! That much should be obvious from the pictures.

I’m doubtful that that the USPS apology is actually sincere. It’s really more of just a “See, we care so much about the handling of your mail that we’ll put the piece we destroyed in this nice plastic baggy. There now, don’t you feel better about us?”
Halloween has come and gone for 2009. It’s always pretty cool around my house with all of the decorations … spider web, animated ghosts, black lights, strobe lights, fog machines, and creepy giant skulls. We always get a lot of comments from kids and parents how our house “is the coolest one in the neighborhood.” Halloween is one of our favorite holidays (and Thanksgiving and Independence Day).
In the past there has been one kid who refused to come to the door. It was just too scary. This year there were a number of kids who struggled with making it up the sidewalk to the door. I found that odd because the decorations were actually toned down a bit from previous years. Most of the fog machines were moved away from the door, so it shouldn’t that scary. One little girl even talked about how she really wanted to go to the “scary house” but then couldn’t muster the courage to make it all the way to the door.
Now for the pictures!

That concludes Halloween 2009! Thanks for stopping by!
